أعمال المجريين أو جيستا هنغاررورم، هو أقدم كتاب عن التاريخ المجري والذي نجا للأجيال القادمة. نوعها الأدبي ليس سردًا تاريخيًا، بل "أفعال"، وهو نوع من الأدب الترفيهي في العصور الوسطى. وقد أُلف باللغة اللاتينية من مؤلف مجهول الهوية، والذي يطلق عليه تقليديا اسم أنونيمس في الأعمال العلمية. وفقًا لمعظم المؤرخين، اكتمل العمل على المخطوطة في الفترة ما بين عامي 1200 و1230 تقريبًا.[1][2] يوجد الكتاب في مخطوطة واحدة من النصف الثاني من القرن الثالث عشر، والتي كانت محفوظة لعدة قرون في فيينا. وهي جزء من مجموعة مكتبة سيشيني الوطنية في بودابست .

الموضوع الرئيس للكتاب هو الغزو المجري لحوض الكاربات في مطلع القرنين التاسع والعاشر، ويكتب عن أصل المجريين، ويحدد أسلاف المجريين مع السكيثيين والهون القدماء؛ وهناك ذكر لوجود إسلامي في المنطقة. وقد حدد العلماء العديد من مصادرها، بما في ذلك الكتاب المقدس ، وكتاب إتيميلوجي لإيزيدور الإشبيلي، وكتاب إكسورديا سيثيكا من القرن السابع، وكتاب كرونيكون لريجينو من بروم من أواخر القرن التاسع، وروايات الإسكندر الأكبر في العصور الوسطى المبكرة. استخدم أنونيموس أيضًا الأغاني الشعبية والقصائد الغنائية عند كتابة أعماله. كان يعرف نسخة من "السجل المجري" الذي يعود إلى أواخر القرن الحادي عشر، وقد تم الحفاظ على نصه جزئيًا في عمله وفي السجلات اللاحقة، لكن روايته للغزو المجري تختلف عن النسخة التي قدمتها السجلات الأخرى. ولم يذكر أنونيموس خصوم المجريين الفاتحين المعروفين من المصادر المكتوبة حوالي عام 900، ولكنه كتب عن قتال المجريين ضد حكام غير معروفين من مصادر أخرى. وفقًا لنظرية علمية، فقد استخدم أسماء الأماكن عند تسمية خصوم المجريين.
